True Name: Casper Duboir Gender: male Age: 14 Birthday: July 16, 2006 Greatest Ambition: Hazard wants to have his brother and Sensei respect him as an equal, depending on and appreciating his skills. Physical Description: Hazard stands at five foot six and is lean and athletic from his daily workouts in the circus. His hair is medium brown and is in a semi-bowl cut, somewhat longer than he usually wears it because he rarely worries about what he wears. He usually wears a black shirt and faded jeans, though when he is on espionage duty, he slips on a dark brown leather jacket that he received from a fellow circus performer. Distinguishing Marks: He has a squiggly scar on his left arm from when he hurt himself during one of his acrobatic performances and a dark birthmark somewhat in the shape of a crescent moon on his stomach. He thinks of it as his lucky charm. Sexual Orientation: heterosexual Single or taken: single Best friend: his brother Alex Personality: Hazard is stubborn and has the utmost confidence in what he does, no matter what it is. He is determined to succeed, whether it be a trivial task or his life's goal. It is partially due to his stubbornness that he argues, disputes, and answers back to anyone who tries to tell him what to do. There are times when he is hot-headed and hasty, which often causes problems when he doesn't think before he acts. Hazard never backs away from a challenge, nor does he skip an opportunity to help himself, his brother and his tribe. Most of the time, he chooses to keep his problems to himself because he thinks he can solve them alone. He does not like to appear anything less than strong to his brother, though he relies on his advice regardless. It does not take much to irritate him, though he attempts to hide his emotions under an expressionless face. Though he likes to work alone, spending time with his brother and his friends is important to him. With them, he is talkative, jokes, and loves to have fun. His energy and stamina are tremendous and contributes to him being a hard worker. He likes everything that can be done quickly and sometimes overcomes difficulties by sheer will-power. Hazard is very resourceful and capable, which comes in handy when he is caught in a difficult situation during spying or one of his adventures. Personal History: (Must be very well developed and at least 3-4 paragraphs long) Casper was born out to Ryver Duboir, fathered by a man named James Towne. He never knew his father, who was always on the road according to his mother. Growing up in the carnival, Casper found father figures in other performers. Matillda, the tarot card reader, homeschooled him and his brother and when he was old enough, Casper started to learn how to be an acrobat. This suited his need for danger for a while, though he liked to experiment with 'wild rides' and games that were a bit more dangerous than his older brother liked. He earned the name Hazard from Thom and that suited him just fine. Alex preferred to be called Blaze then and Casper decided to follow suit with the name Hazard. When he was eight, he wanted to be more than an acrobat but was unsure what to do exactly. One frosty day in September, Hazard found a discarded book on the ground about cryptograms and he was fascinated after reading only a few pages. His path was now decided; he was going to be a secret agent... despite the lack of resources. This was not kept to himself and he informed his family of the decision. Remaining as an acrobat, Hazard also practiced being stealthy and listening to other people's conversations backstage at the carnival. It took him years to perfect his quiet movement and easedropping skills, but soon he became somewhat formidable. When the carnival stopped in Sundance, Wyoming, the situation started to worsen. A few performers were ill and it was necessary for the carnival to stop so the people could receive treatment. To Hazard's shock, his mother was among the people who fell ill. He'd always assumed that she was invulnerable and to see her sick shook him to the core. With his brother, he stayed by her side and ignored all the chaos that happened outside, even when the hospital staff died and looting occured everywhere in town. His mother died three weeks later and Hazard grieved only when he was alone. He wouldn't have minded joining other people who were left in the hospital, but his brother wanted to go back to the carnival, where they found Thom's body. Hazard found it sickening to bury their friends who had died, but it was necessary in order to pay them respect. Doing so exhausted them and sent Blaze into a state of depression. Hazard needed him to be strong and active, urging him to get out of bed so they could get on with their lives. His brother ignored him and after a while, everything overwhelmed Hazard to the point where he broke down and cried. That snapped Blaze out of it, and the Duboir brothers returned to the hospital to join the Carrion tribe. Sensei became a father-figure and respected leader to Hazard in addition to his brother and he did his best in order to help the Carrions as much as possible with his espionage and scavenger skills. He wants to pull his weight as much as possible and tries as hard as he can to gather new information and materials every day. When he does not work, he spends time with the other tribe members in order to boost their morale. The Carrion are his new family and he plans to be a devoted part of it.
